Are you ready for celebrations tonight? I'm just finishing with my 'last-day-of-the-year' stuffs like throwing out the old and unnecessary things from my room. I did some SPA at home, too.
I decided to show you two cards that I made yesterday for two challenges. I don't know why, but, I was really inspired yesterday. And I went to my craft room and made some cards while all my friends were having fun. But I catch up with the fun later, when we decided to celebrate the night before the New Year night :)) So, if you ever want to celebrate something, but you don't have an event - you can make it up. Just like we did :)
I'm going to make a quick post just to show you four small cards that I made last night. The sentiments said 'Happy Holidays' and 'Happy New year'. I used small saved paper pieces and some embelishments from my stash.
First of all, I want to tell you 'MERRY CHRISTMAS'. I wish you a bunch of happiness and may all your dreams come true. Be happy at this wonderful time of the year. And share your happiness with all the people around you. Because Christmas is for sharing, loving and giving. Because the good you do for others is good you do yourself.
I'm sorry for not-posting lately, but I know you can understand me, right? All these Christmas-New year stuffs are fulling my time. I want to tell you that one of my presents this year wasn't under the tree. It was on one of my e-mail letters which says that me and Simeon have been chosen to be part of the new DT at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog. I'm really happy about this and I can't wait to work with all that amazing ladies at the DT. Our term will start at January, 7th, so don't forget to come by and check it.
Now, I want to show you one Christmas card for TPDC. I made it with Dovecraft NOEL paper collection. The stamp is from Elisabeth Bell and it's called First Snowball of Winter. The other embellishments are from my stash.
'Тихо се сипе първият сняг..' or one of the most popular Bulgarian Christmas' songs. I'm remembering how we're singing it in preschool or first grade. ( Actually, I'm singing it all the time :) I decided to use this song's title as a sentiment for my white/blue Christmas card. I made it for The ribbon reel challenge. Actually, I made two cards for it, but I'll post the second one later today. I realised that this Christmas I have just these two blue Christmas cards. (thanks for TRRC). I really love these colors and I think they are really pure, soft and elegant for Christmas, but I don't know why the Christmas for me is more Red, Gold, Green and Copper. May be that's beacause these colors match better with our home, or because they are more warm for me. But I really like the blue/white colors, too. Actually, the more important thing is 'the christmas spirit', right? And every color can have it on his own. What do you think?
As I told you, this card is inspired by one christmas song - so here it is -
Hope you like it (nomatter it's on bulgarian and you can't understand it) :)
This is the second post for me today. As I told you, I'm going to show you a card similar to this box. Actually, I made the card first. I used the same embelishments as these on the box. I just added some pearls around the edges. I used Nellie's die and Inkadinkado's stamp. The ink is from VersaMark. Roses are handmade by me and the pearls are from my stash. I didn't use any DP on this card. I just added a little more dimension on the cardstock with Polkadots embossing mat.
I know I'd promised you to show you some pictures of the carp and the bread but I coudn't take any good photo. But they were absolutely delicious - really. So, surely I'll cook them again (this time during the day) and I'll show them to you.
I'm going to make a quick post just to show you one box I made for TPDC. The colors are really pure and I love them. I decided to made a little box for money or some jewelry. It's Christmas coming, so I need to catch up with the gifts' boxes. But this won't be these days. As I told you, I'm going for five days at Bansko for the Students day. I should have gone today, but it's holiday today here in Bulgaria. It's called Nikulden (St. Nicholas) and it's a holiday for everyone who's name is Nichole, Nichol, Nicolina and others. The carp is the traditional meal for this day. And because of the fact, that my parents were at work, I decided to cook it. The carp is at the oven now and I must go and check it. I'll also make some yellow cheese bread (they are absolutely delicious). I'll post them in my future posts (if I take some good photos).
I must go now to finish with the cooking stuffs. I'll come back later to tell you if the carp and bread were tasty :) And I'll post a similar to this project card.
I haven't been posting lately beacause I was in Sofia the last two days. I had a test in Friday and I should study for it. But now I had some days off of school. We had a student's holiday at Decembre, 8th and I, Simeon and a few friends will go to Bansko for 5 days to celebrate.
But now I want to show you my last card. It's made for one lady who's going to celebrate her 50th birthday. I was told to make a stylish card with roses. So I decided to use this color palette. I think it's really romantic and elegant. I used Mojo Monday's sketch #217 again. I also made this card for The Ribbon Reel.
The DP are from K&Co, roses are handmade by us and the other embelishments are from our stash. I cutted a frame from my newest Nellie's die-cut, distressed it and wrote the '50' by hand. I also add some glitter on the numbers and that's all for this card. I love how it turned out. Do you?
I think I've got a cold today. I'm feeling really bad right now. Nevertheless, today I really wanted to make some cards. That's why I went to my craft room and made a card for Mojo Monday. I wish I could made more cards but the cold didn't let me to.
This adorable Santa is from GraphicsFairy. I printed it out and add some Perfect pearls and glitter with my white glitter pen. I decided to rewrite the sentiment with some red glitter pen. The other embelishments are from my stash.
